The Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland is the world's most ancient rainforest, estimated to be 180 million years old.  So impressive is the forest, Sir David Attenborough called it 'the most remarkable place on Earth'.  In covers approximately 1,200 square-kilometres and was declared a World Heritage-listed site in 1988.
