Commemorating 200 Years since Aust5ralia's First Royal Agricult7ural Societies were established in Tasmania & NSW

with the first agricultural show being held in 1822.

Two Hundred years ago, the Young Colony of Tasmania founded an Agricultural Society and soon after, staged an exhibition of the fine products of their farmers and artisans.  This was the first such Royal Agricultural Society and the first Agricultural show held in Australia.  Since then, agricultural shows have become a part of the Australian Community life and there are now Royal Agricultural Societies in each state and territory of Australia.
