Dingo pups venture from their underground den for the first time after about three weeks. Accompanied by their parents, they soon begin to explore further afield, learning how to navigate Australia’s unforgiving landscapes. Less reliant on their mother’s milk by two months old, they’re on their way to becoming Australia’s largest carnivorous mammals.

The release of the  2oz silver bullion piedfort coin featuring a mother and baby dingo, the fifth coin in the Mother & Baby series.

Struck by The Perth Mint from 2oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and has a mintage of 75,000.

The coin’s reverse depicts a dingo sitting with its baby. The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark and radial lines are also included in the design. The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2022 year-date, the weight and purity, and the monetary denomination are shown on the coin’s obverse

Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass
